Washington Governor has class
Hi folks! Today, tonight rather, I am making home made tamales. I should be up late. I got a recipe that looks good from http://www.sonofthesouth.net/tamales I will let you know how it goes. My kids and grandkids are coming over tomorrow night and I intend to either thrill them or make them sick! Big time.
Today the State of Washington swore in our new Governor. Christine Gregoire. She was narrowly beaten in the first election count, by 261 votes or so by the Republican nominee, Dinosaur Rossi. This triggered an auto-matic recount. Then came the machine re-count and it was even closer, but the R was still ahead by 42 votes! The Dems had the last chance to pay for a hand re-count. CG could've asked for just the cherry counties and possibly could've stolen the election by choosing to re-count only Dem winning counties. She chose to re-count the entire State by hand to avoid uncertainty. After the hand re-count she was AHEAD by129 votes. The State constitution says that a hand re-count can only be disputed if the opposing side can prove voter fraud. All County Auditors have certified their counts. Today she became the Governor of Washington by the narrowest victory in history.
In come THE WHINERS. When CG was behind did she have her minions throw a hissy fit? No! She followed the law and took the appropriate steps. She re-counted all Counties and not just the Dem wins. She has class. Mr. Dinosaur hasn't conceded? Too bad, Washington went on without you. Boo Whoo. All the whos in whoville are boowhooing with you.
